Well Hello There...

For some reason, for a long time now, I've had nothing I could think to blog about.  This is weird, because I can usually talk about anything.  I feel like blogging is talking about what's going on in life, random thoughts, and whatever comes to mind.  The weather has been really nice, I think that is partly why here has been a lack of blogging.  Crafting has been slow too.  I've made a few things here and there, but not like the spree I was on before.  I've visited my parents, WE GOT OUR CAR BACK!, and I've planted flowers :)  I have a topsy turvey thing for my tomato plant.  I hope it works!  I love tomatoes, especially fresh tomatoes in the summer!  I planted some flowers and even painted my own flower pots!  Green, Red, Light Blue, and Purple.  I just couldn't find what I wanted in the stores, so I made them my own way! Life is good, still on the job hunt, but now I have transportation!  We went to Illinois for Easter, and it was great!  I love being there. It's so fun to go home, but all we do is eat.  Day after day I feel like all we did was eat, it was great food of course, but geesh!

Kyle's in his last week of classes, and has finals next week.  He's doing really well!  He's excited to be done, but he does start summer classes in June.  He's only taking 2, and they are online, so it won't be bad at all.  This week is cold and rainy, but I guess April showers bring May flowers!  So bring on the rain as long as my flowers are happy!  Well I guess that's all for now!  Cheers!

Oh IRS

Well, Kyle and I have procrastinated our taxes until now.  I finished mine today, well they are ready to be turned in, but not after a little hassle.  I filed via H&R Block online, and at the end, I came to a  page saying I may have some penalty pending on my tax return.   I called the IRS to find out more information about said penalty.  I spent over an hour on the phone with the IRS and spoke with 7, yes 7 different employees.  I finally found out that the penalty didn't apply to me because I didn't make enough money last year.  The 7th person was the only one who knew anything about the penalty, and only after about 5 minutes of me talking to her did she realize that it didn't apply to me.  UGH.  Taxes are normally so easy for me to file online.  But today was so annoying.  Oh well, hopefully Kyle will not have any trouble figuring out his.  I am not a tax doer.  No thank you to accounting. :)

Spring has Sprung

Well I must say that I think it's finally spring!  Snow is gone for now, and it's all rain and sunshine!  Everything is turning green and I'm so so thankful!  I LOVE when it changes from winter to spring!  This week is super busy for Kyle, he's working more hours, has tests in most of his classes, and I'm leaving on Thursday.  I am leaving Thursday for Illinois!  On Friday we are leaving for Madison, Indiana on a ladies retreat.  We'll be gone until Sunday.  It's the first time since we've been married that Kyle and I have had to spend a night apart.  I hope he survives without me.  He'll have to do laundry and fix food for himself.  He also claims he's going to clean the house and Ralph's home.  I can't wait to get home, and see how things went while I was gone.  Hopefully, I'll lots of photos from the weekend and lots to post about too!  Off for a nice little run out in the sun!

It's been a while {Happy April}

Well, I don't feel like I've had a lot to write about lately.  I thought of a few things, but nothing super interesting.  I am currently at a halt on being crafty, until I get more inspiration.  I feel it coming back though :)

A few new things to share in this little blog, I guess.

Lately, I've been using grooveshark online.  I know it's been out there for a long time, but I just recently used it and really like it!  Grooveshark is a website for listening to music.  You just type in a song you want to hear and voilĂ  there it is.  It will also provide you with the popular songs, mostly pop/ rap, but some other goodies are in there too.  There are radio stations too, like Pandora has. I love pandora, but I think grooveshark is my new favorite because you can hear the song right away.  The only thing not as great, is I don't think you can say songs like ...... like you can on pandora.  Oh, well I'll still use both, right now I like grooveshark :)
Something else new, is Luke came over twice this week to play at my house.  It was fun, but the first time we had to play with kitchen things like, measuring cups, bowls, and spoons.  Kyle and I don't have toys for little kids, we have big kid toys.  They look fun to Luke,  but Kyle would be sad if he broke things like the Television or Xbox.  He did enjoy looking at Ralph, our fish.  He liked to watch him eat, since that's about the most movement Ralph experiences in a day.  He is one LAZY fish!
Yesterday, we went to opening day at Kauffman Stadium for the Kansas City Royals.  It was very cold, not the kind of weather I think of for baseball games.  It was a little rainy too.  We tailgated before the game, and let's just say there are some classy people who tailgate.  First, I wish I would have taken a picture of this man I'm about to describe.  My words will not do him justice.  He was walking, if what he was doing could be considered walking, from the port-a-potty.  He took his gigantic drink into the potty with him, and upon his return, he had his pants pulled quite high, over his beer belly with his button looking as if it were going to pop off and take someone's eye out at any moment.  I do believe he usually would wear his pants a bit lower....on top of it all, he was happy as a clam.  Just smiling from ear to ear and mumbling/ yelling random undetectable words.  Other memorable tailgaters were the girls who needed to pee.  They were so stupid.  First, they all came over by their truck, opened both doors on the side, and held a blanket up, seems like a good idea, but they did not execute it well at all.  First we could see their butts every time they went, and there was a huge group of men next to us, directly across from where they were peeing and they were taking videos and photos every time a new girl used this "bathroom."  Plus they were peeing all over each other's feet.  After they were finished, another girl came to do the same, but she was much smarter.  On the other side of the truck was another car, unlike the empty spot where the others went, so she had more coverage.  She also made sure she was not exposed and not drawing as much attention to herself.  But there was one more girl.  She was the worst of all!  She came to the side without the car, and she came alone.  She opened the doors of the truck, but had no coverage on the open side which  faced the group of men who like to take pictures.  She just dropped her pants and went.  The men across from the truck had a field day with videos and photos.  She just laughed and called them names, all the while she was completely exposing herself to them.  I just couldn't figure out why they didn't use the porta potties two feet away.  Well it was unlike tailgating I've been to before.  It was fun, but cold, and the Royals lost.
Next on my list, we've had not the greatest weather.  We had that summer tease weather and then back to snow and winter.  I did not like it!  This weekend is supposed to be nice. Like 70's and 81 on Sunday!  Hopefully we'll be back to spring like weather for good!
Well that's all for now. xoxo
